General Description
The Rainbow’s End North Ranch is located in southeastern Arizona approximately 90 miles east of Tucson. Access is via State Highway 191 and the property is approximately 32 miles south of Willcox.
The Ranch lies in the Sulphur Springs Valley. This valley is known for its exceptional cattle production and mild climate. There is a livestock sale barn in nearby Willcox and large hay production on local farms. This area contains some of the nicest grasslands in southeastern Arizona.

Climate, Elevation and Vegetation
The Ranch has a mild climate with Summer highs in the mid 90’s and Winter lows in the mid 30’s. Precipitation averages 12 inches per year. The elevation ranges from 4,200 to 4,700 feet above sea level. The topography of the Ranch is very gently sloping with a few prominent hills. The majority of the ranch is open grassland consisting of sideoats and black grama, tabosa, threeawns, lovegrasses and many annual grass species. There are some scattered areas with mesquite and creosote brush.
Water
The Ranch is well watered by 2 active wells with electric service. There are many miles of pipeline that provide water to storage tanks and large drinkers scattered throughout the Ranch. Four additional wells are available that could be used by installing a solar pump. There are also several dirt stock tanks.
Improvements
- The headquarters home is three bedrooms, two bathrooms, constructed of brick with a standing-seam metal roof and two-car garage.
- The main working corrals are of pipe construction.
- A very large (60' x 100') hay storage barn (please see photo 3 above) able to handle several truckloads of hay.
Utilities
The Ranch electric is provided by Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative. Telephone is provided by cell service. Propane is provided by local suppliers and sewage disposal is provided by septic tank.
