Arizona Cottontop
Digitaria Californica

A warm-season bunch grass that is a species of crabgrass; useful as a forage grass throughout southwestern North America. Abundant during heavy spring rains. Very palatable to livesotck - preferred over most other grasses; less so for wildlife. Foliage cures well, and some stems remain green in winter so that it is an important winter feed. Should thrive under most management, provided grazing is held to a reasonable level.
