The 47 Ranch is located approximately 17 miles east of Tombstone along Davis Road. The Ranch is approximately 87 miles southeast of Tucson and has excellent paved access all the way to the Headquarters.

Area Description
The 47 Ranch is located at the north end of the Mule Mountains. These moutains are the location of Bisbee, the famous turn of the century copper camp. Nearby is the historic town of Tombstone, which was the scene of the famous OK Corral gunfight. This area has a very rich history and many recreational activities.

Carrying Capacity
The Ranch will carry approximately 450 head annually. The State Lease is rated at 349 head and the BLM allotment at 3 head annually.

Climate, Elevation & Vegetation
The 47 Ranch has a mild climate with summer highs in the mid 90's and winter lows in the mid 20's. Rainfall is approximately 14" annually. The elevation of the ranch varies between 4,300' and 6,535' (please see the elevation map for a picture). The lower country is upper desert grassland with mesquite, perennial and annual grasses. The upper country is grama grassland with oak and juniper trees.

Improvements
The Ranch is highly improved. At the Headquarters along the Davis Road are a 1,500 square foot historic home, 640 square foot bunkhouse and newly constructed 2,000 square foot owner's home. There are also an excellent set of corrals, barn and shop at this location. The ranch is cross-fenced into many separate pastures for ease of management.

Water
Water improvements are exceptional with many miles of pipeline, steel storage tanks and troughs all in fine condition. The Ranch is extremely well watered and the system well designed and functional.

Utilities
Natural gas and telephone are available at the the Headquarters. Electricity is provided by a modern generator. Propane is available from local suppliers.
